mama shelter rio de janeiro exceeded my expectations once again. the design, cleanliness, and location were perfect, just like my previous stay in rio. the staff were incredibly friendly and provided exceptional customer service. highly recommend to anyone visiting rio.

I stayed in this ideal hotel for 1 day, had very positive experience, greatly enjoyed its amazing location adjacent to the best bars and restaurants in Santa Teresa and Mama Shelter. The staff was super friendly and exceptionally kind, outstanding services. The breakfast was exceptionally nice, had a wide array of options and the food was great!

we stayed in modern and trendy room with the view, and truly enjoyed it. the location was fantastic safe in the area too.

The staff at the front desk were incredibly helpful and spoke great English. the rooms were clean and the hotel had a great vibe. We especially loved the big bar inside, which had a lively atmosphere but didn't disturb the peace and quiet outside. Oh, and if you have a sweet tooth, make sure to try the Brigadero from the menu - you won't regret it!

We absolutely loved staying at this luxurious 4-star hotel! The location was perfect, close to all the action in Santa Teresa but far enough away from the beaches to provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We felt safe and secure during our stay, thanks to the attentive and helpful staff. The room was incredibly spacious and well-appointed, with all the amenities we could ask for, including air conditioning and an in-room safe. The restaurant and bar/lounge area were stylish and inviting, providing a great place to hang out and unwind after a day of exploring. The free Wi-Fi was a bonus, allowing us to stay connected throughout our stay.

We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in this area. Even though we didn't catch the name of the girl at reception, she was lovely and provided fantastic service.

The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Our favorite part was the vibrant vibe of the hotel, making it a perfect place to hang out. Despite a few minor drawbacks like the late start to breakfast service and limited food options, we still had a great experience. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Mama Shelter provided a unique and wonderful stay.

We only stayed for 2 nights at the end of our Brazil trip and wanted a quiet place, which was perfect. Friendly staff, good breakfast buffet, and charming "hippie-chic" design. The rooms are great, comfy beds, very clean, and a perfect location. The best thing about my stay here were the staff. Everyone I met was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting. You won’t be disappointed.

the location was perfect, and the room had a quirky charm that I loved. the hotel had a fantastic bar and a spacious restaurant/breakfast area with plenty of seating. What impressed me the most was the attentive staff. When my friend fell ill upon arrival, they went above and beyond to help. They called a doctor, arranged for medicine to be delivered, provided translation assistance, and even prepared ginger tea. the level of care and support was outstanding, especially in such a situation. the hotel design was also great, similar to other Mama Shelter locations. the bed and shower were comfortable, which is rare to find in Brazil. The staff was friendly and multilingual, making the experience even better. Cons: Nothing, all was good. 👍.

I recently stayed in a cozy and delightful accommodation in a charming area with great walkability to local restaurants and shops. the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious and quiet. Even though it was a bit far from the beaches, it was worth it for the peacefulness of the location. the bathroom was clean, and the breakfast included good coffee options. I loved the unique decor and excellent common areas.

The stairs can be a bit of an obstacle for elderly or disabled individuals, as there was no elevator available.

The lack of outdoor space, with only a few lounge chairs available. this wasn't a major issue as there were plenty of things to do and see in the surrounding area.
